Simple Routine Steps
Hello everyone, it is Tuesday and that means a new blog post. Today I decided to talk about the simple steps I do to create my routine. We have talked in the past about how to select products for your skin type and now is time to put them into action.
The very first step on my routine is cleansing. This is a very important step on mornings and evenings to remove the excess oil produced during the days plus all the dirt accumulated. I do not double cleanse, like so many types of routine out there, since my skin is neither too dry nor oily, which are the best cases for double cleansing. I just use one good facial cleanser to remove impurities. Currently I am using Missha Super Seed Green Tea Foaming Cleanser. I chose this product since it creates a nice lather that deep cleans skin, but gentle enough that it won’t strip away natural oils.
Remember to wash you face twice a day at least, as well as your hands. This is to ensure no extra bacteria is passed into your skin that would cause breakouts. Make sure your towels and makeup utensil are also washed frequently for the same reason.
The second step to my routine is to tone. I use Missha Moist Lab Toner since it is alcohol free and made with less irritants than normal toners available in the market. The toner is recommended to remove the impurities left behind by the cleanser as well as to start preparing your skin for hydration. If you have sensitive skin, this type of toner are the best for your skin type. Stay away from witch hazel and other ingredients that can irritate your skin.
I follow the toner with treatments to target specific problem areas like acne and wrinkles. This is the step were I add masks or other creams that will help boost hydration like serums and emulsions. The trick to this step is to remember to apply products from thinnest to thickest. Usually serums are water based and can be applied first. It is important to use only the adequate amount of product to prevent skin irritation or breakouts.
I finish my routine with my moisturizing cream. This is usually the thickest cream of my collection of products and I usually buy products with SPF protection included. On mornings sun protection is a must, and you need to reapply every 2 hours. On evenings, sleeping masks have become my go to products like Lanaige Water Sleeping Mask.
In brief, you only need to remember 5 steps: cleanse, tone, treat, moisturize and protect! If you remember this with the other tips Bonito provides you, you will be rocking a healthy glowing skin in no time. Be faithful to the routine, it works!
